What I Wish I’d Known When I Was Looking For a Tech Job Abroad

1 – “I don’t need to speak English perfectly”

If English is not your first language, maybe the dream of an international job seems a distant one. While it\’s true that you need to speak English to work abroad, you don’t have to worry about doing so “perfectly”. We like to say the code has no accent, so it\’s OK if you do. Improve your English enough, so you can communicate with colleagues and talk about projects. If you know how to make yourself understood, speaking like a native is not and will never be necessary.

2 – “I have to take an active role in the job search”
