As Covid restrictions start to wane worldwide, some plans that were kept on hold can now see the light of day again. We are approaching the new year so, what kind of vision do you have for your life and career? Technology and remote communication allow for a much broader idea of what work could look like, and with travelling now possible again, we can create a life that is not bound to a particular place. Are you ready for a boundless life?
Here at VanHack, we are all about helping people craft an international career. So when we came across BoundlessLife.Io, we knew we had to tell you all about it. Boundless is a community that connects families that want to work and study while exploring different destinations together. The company organizes groups worldwide and provides private homes, co-working spaces, a school system based on experiential learning, and locally adapted recreational hubs.
Two things keep you in one place: family and work
Where would you go if you could take your job and your family with you? The Boundless mindset is that nothing is keeping you where you are if you don’t want to. The two usual culprits for not being able to explore the world are money and family obligations. While they are important reasons, there are some ways around them. Financial resources are not easy to acquire and save, but not every relocation plan has to be crazy expensive. Things also get a bit more smooth if you can take your job with you!
Take your family with you
One central element makes Boundless different from other “digital nomads” programs: they provide structure for families. Boundless allows you to travel with children because they organize school programs for the little ones.
Right now, Boundless is putting together its first location plan in Sintra, Portugal – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – for families who would like to travel in early 2022. Other locations will be announced soon. You can register for the Portugal program or look for other options here: begin to live Boundlessly!
Get inspired by couples that relocated together
If you have been following VanHack for a while, you know we have many successful cases from which to draw inspiration: VanHackers who started international careers together with their families.
Debarghya and Poulami are a couple from India who got hired and relocated to Germany together. They both got their news jobs through VanHack and the timing was almost perfect. Debarghya remembers how weird it felt to get the good news first. He was happy, of course, but still hoping his wife would also receive a job offer. When she did, they were finally able to celebrate and start planning the big move.

Irla is a developer from Brazil who got hired and relocated to Canada through VanHack. Only her story is not that straightforward. She had to change plans and adapt to her international career ambitions when she got pregnant. However, everything worked out fine in the end, and she is living and working abroad with her family now.
You can hear Irla’s story HERE.
