We had more than a hundred talented candidates from 38 countries and more than 60 companies participating! The hiring fairs are free, and they offer tech professionals a chance to meet and talk to recruiters from international companies on the lookout for skilled workers. This Women in Tech felt like the biggest and best event yet!

Courtney Boudreau is our Training Specialist and event host, her happiness over the Women in Tech fair is very easy to spot. She gushes over how outstanding the candidates were!

The women participating in this event were beyond impressive. The majority of them took advantage of the resources we offer to event candidates, and they participated in classes and practice interviews”.

Her overall impression is that this hiring fair was a step forward.

“The events team at VanHack is trying to enhance this with women-specific hiring events and our new conversation circles. Based on feedback from female candidates and peers in the industry, a lack of confidence was a big part of why women leave tech – we are hoping that we can help women in tech feel more confident in their abilities through our efforts. We still only have about 10% of our platform identifying as women. We are always focused and brainstorming new ways of attracting and supporting women to get a tech job”.
