In analyzing feedback from our users, Camila and her team noticed that more personalized services were in high demand.

Mentorship for tech talents

The mentorship was designed to help candidates get personalized guidance on their journey to a job abroad. What kind of technical skills international companies are looking for? What can you expect from an international hiring process? What are the cultural differences? Those are some of the questions a mentor can help you with. 

So, are you ready to meet the mentors? 

Let us introduce you to Fred Rego, he is one of the VanHack founders and has relocated to Canada over 25 years ago. He is an experienced strategist and executive and he will help you with everything you need to know about getting hired abroad. 

We’d also like to introduce you to Anurag Srivastava. He is a data scientist, an educator who loves teaching and he’s been working in amazing bootcamps in Canada. Anurag will be your guide in preparation for all the technical requirements during the hiring process. 

 

International profile consulting

To get a job abroad, you will need a strong international profile to showcase your experiences and highlight your strengths. The profile is literally the first contact companies and recruiters have with you. What about understanding how recruiters read your profile? You can now schedule a session with our profile advisor. You can choose to focus on your VanHack Profile, Resume, or LinkedIn Profile. It will also grant you access to one written feedback round after the meeting to ensure your profile stands out.

Fernanda Reis will be your profile advisor. She is a certified career coach and job search strategist. She served as a career transition support for 500+ people every year in Canada. Her approach is to have an authentic job search strategy to fit every client’s needs across the globe.

 

Hack the interview

You can book a preparation session with one of our specialists to get personalized and immediate interview practice. One of our most talked-about services is the interview simulations, designed to help you improve your interviewing skills, especially if you have an upcoming job interview scheduled. Now we are offering individual sessions where you can have guidance that is specific to what you need. This way, you can increase your chances of moving forward in your processes. 

Keep in mind that you should be ready for at least two common types of interviews in an international hiring process: Behavioral and Technical. Although each category has its own uniqueness, in both of them the communication skills will be practiced, once this is the primary key for a successful job interview.
